Duke Nukem Forever: Out Soon (Hopefully)

So Duke Nukem Forever is coming out soon HOPEFULLY, unless Gearbox screw us over and delay it again. If that happens I will not be happy.

So the European release date is the 10th of June this year (a week tomorrow). So yeah: No more delays and no more torment from a certain person............

Double Review

Today I think I will review 2 amazing movies from the year 2007: No Country For Old Men and There Will Be Blood. Let's start with the latter.

The film is set mostly in the early 20th century and focuses on Daniel Plainview (played by Daniel Day-Lewis) who is an oil man. It follows his exploits in the oil industry. Daniel Day Lewis is amazing in this and clearly shows the characters arrogance and greed. Overall, this deserved all the positive reviews it got, because it is an amazingly done film.
Up Next we have No Country For Old Men:

Another amazing film from 2007; Starring Tommy Lee Jones, Javier Bardem and Josh Brolin. The story is a man finds money and gets relentlessly pursued by an assassin who wields a shotgun with a silencer. It is amazingly done and like There Will Be Blood, It deserved all the awards it got. Javier Bardem perfectly portrayed Anton Chigurh as the heartless man he is.
But that's me, let's hear your opinion.

College

I am a student at Adam Smith College and I'm currently in NCMPR (which is the reason I am doing this blog).
At some points it can be good and you could feel like this

However at other times you can feel like this

But all in all, it is good fun and is an introductary course which shows you certain aspects of media (including Graphics, Radio, Video, Blogging and Multimedia). I admit that it can be a little bit... em..... TEDIOUS, especially with the paperwork (like in media analysis).

All in all it is a great course,

I'm sorry about that

But yeah anyway so the Joker is classified as one of the greatest comic villains ever, however there has not been an amazing adaptation on television or cinema, however In the animated series he has been well portrayed.
So in the 60's TV series they had Cesar Romero:

Cesar Romero: Still had a moustache

In the movies he was portrayed by Jack Nicholson

And Heath Ledger:

In the animated series (as well as Arkham Asylum and in Arkham City) He was voiced by Mark Hamill

Personally I have no care for the Heath Ledger adaptation for the reason that it is mostly different to the comics. The Joker was formed through falling in a vat of chemicals and had his lips burned of, hence the smile, Heath Ledger's adaptation was formed through Self-mutilation and child abuse. Most notably the Glasgow smile he donned. He doesn't have the humour of the original Joker (such as the way he kills people) and he is just a psychopath.
Personally I feel that the Heath Ledger is overhyped and is not as good as people say he is. He is alright.

The Bane 2

So the first picture of Tom Hardy playing Bane has officially been released

And I must say he looks badass. Now most poeple wonder about the tubes that pump venom into Bane but there is a slot for the tubing to be inserted so venom is easily accessible. Also I think it can be taken off for repairs (just like in Knightfall part 1 when Killer Croc breaks it with his arm cast). Part 1 and 2 are complete: part one being Tom Hardy buffing himself and part 2 being looking badass. Part 3 is Bane being intelligent (hopefully).
In other Bat-news: The Penguin has been confirmed for a boss in Arkham City:

So what'll happen? Will he use an umbrella gun which fires umbrella's? (Enter Yo Dawg Meme here).

Edward Norton - Underappreciated?

Now, I'm a major fan of films and another one of my favourite actors (apart from Bruce Campbell) is Edward Norton:

He's been in so many good films and here are a few of his films:

Fight Club
American History X
Primal Fear
25th Hour
Red Dragon
The Italian Job
The Incredible Hulk

Personally, I think his greatest role was as Derek Vinyard in American History X - a White Power, Neo-nazi skinhead who is reformed after going to prison.

But that's just me. Give me your opinion.

Is Supernatural Getting Excessive?

For the past 6 years now there has been a hit TV series from America called Supernatural. I have been a fan  for 4 years though.

The plot is 2 brother's hunting monsters, ghosts and demons and is now on it's 6th season. But should they stop at season 6 or should they develop it further. To be honest I think it will end up being like a soap themed thing or just be as confusing as Lost, so I say no. But if you have an opinion please say.
